Serve Our Neighbors

Local and National Outreach

We devote a large share of our outreach energies to local programs and organizations serving those in our community and in our nation. St. Thomas’ Local and National Outreach Committee (L&NOC) provides support. Some of the ministries supported by St. Thomas include:

First Stop

Huntsville-based nonprofit with a mission to connect, engage, and empower the homeless to independent, sustainable living. We have teams that prepare and serve breakfast and lunch once a month and also collect needed items.

Meals on Wheels

Parishioners deliver weekday lunches to the homebound on routes within the Huntsville city limits.

CASA TEMP$

During the annual CASA Taking Energy Measures Personally = $avings (TEMP$) day, volunteers winterize the homes of clients of CASA of Madison County.

Feed My Sheep Backpack Meals

Local program that provides meals for at-risk elementary school students to take home over the weekend.

Friends of 400

Program that provides Christmas gifts for at-risk elementary-age children living in downtown Huntsville.

Little Free Pantry

Food ministry on St. Thomas grounds based on the Little Free Library concept. It is stocked daily with non-perishable food, toiletries, and clothing items.
